Vehicle Fire on Santa Barbara’s Eastside

At 7:02 a.m., Santa Barbara City firefighters responded to a reported vehicle fire at the intersection of Cacique and S. Voluntario Streets in Santa Barbara’s eastside.

Callers reported seeing thick, black smoke in the area. Not hearing of any injuries.

Scene should be cleared soon.

It looked like a structure fire but it was a vehicle fire that put up this smoke over the Santa Barbara Eastside about 7 a.m. Many freeway commuters saw it and Santa Barbara City fire was on it…. in moments. (Photo: Irene Martinez) pic.twitter.com/gppSoPWWfG
