Vehicle Fire and Hazmat Response in Santa Maria

Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to a vehicle fire with a HazMat team in Santa Maria on Friday afternoon.
At 2:12 p.m. crews responded to Telephone Road near Cambridge Way after a Ford F-150 hauling N-pHURIC acid fertilizer caught fire. Approximately 150 gallons of corrosive material spilled onto the road.
There were no injuries and the roadway was closed for a short time.
