Yes, nothing to do with the bridge. Personally, I like that bridge. It's cool. This was just one of those gas pedal instead of brake pedal maneuvers that happen from time to time. Luckily no innocent bystanders were injured. And hopefully she didn't kill a steelhead.

I walked by there this morning and took some photos. Judging from the tire marks, the driver had parked in one of the spaces but had then driven forwards. Maybe she hit the gas instead of the brake, or didn't know she was in forward gear.

Agreed - how did the driver manage to do this??!! Was this an intentional stunt to "illustrate" the limitations of the bridge? Glad she's OK, but, . . .
Don't mess with the beautiful, historic bridge. If you don' t like it, please take one or two minutes out of your lifetime and go around. Perhaps it would be a good exercise in time management. (You'll also relieve some of the traffic congestion where APS, Mission Ridge and tourists mix. A lot could be done with better signage, but of course, then the consultants and contractors wouldn't be able to run up huge invoices for the taxpayers to fund. )

Rebuild the bridge from pre historic to practical. Give walkers, joggers, school kids, seniors, tourists and locals, those in cars, and those on two wheels and opportunity to get where they’re going safely.

WTH? How did she manage this?? Did the Jeep go off the road within the park? You'd think the stone bridge would block access to the creek from either direction on Mission Canyon Road itself. Looking forward to a more detailed description of this bizarre incident .

Wow, just wow. What next? Rocky Nook's been overtaken by true losers for some time now, but hey it's possible she was just a spring breaker from out of town that was instagramming while driving. Look at the firefighters' expressions - "yep, another fool move right here".
