Vehicle Catches Fire Following Collision in Orcutt

Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to a vehicle fire following a collision in Orcutt Saturday evening.

At 6:13 p.m., crews arrived at Highway 101 southbound just south of Clark Ave. A sedan collided with a tree and burst into flames upon impact, spreading to nearby brush.

The driver was able to self-extricate with minor injuries and was evaluated at the scene.

Firefighters extinguished the fire and provided care to the driver. The collision is under investigation.
