Vehicle Burglary on the Riviera

By an edhat reader

We noticed on our camera system a Hispanic male going through one of our cars on the night of February 4th at 4:30 am above APS. The car was left unlocked, big mistake. He was going through all the paperwork in the glove box and the way he did it made me think he was looking for info as banking statements. This may be a organized group or a single hit.

Take care and be smart times they are a changing.

  1. There are several vehicle burglaries per week in San Roque. Without fail, the cars are always unlocked. The last one, the homeowner was alerted when the thief tripped the garage door opener…literally a key to your house left in an unlocked vehicle. Hate to blame the victim, but this is not Mayberry anymore…lock your freaking cars.
