Vegetation Fire Near Zaca Lake

Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to a brush fire near Zaca Lake on Saturday evening.

County fire crews assisted the Los Padres National Forest with a fire north of Zaca Lake in the National Forest at 5:09 p.m.

Helicopter 308 initially reported 2-3 acres burning light fuel with a moderate rate of spread in rugged hilltop terrain.

The latest report stated after GPS mapping of the perimeter, the size of the fire has been revised to 7.5 acres.

All county resources, except one dozer, have been released.  Los Padres fire crews will remaine on scene throughout the night.

There are no structures threatened.
