Two up close and beautiful photos of Mt.  Whitney from Santa Barbara County.

Update by Deborah

Just so it is known, these shots are from San Rafael Peak 6,500 SR Wilderness/West Big Pine 6,800 ft, Dick Smith Wilderness here in SBC.  These pictures on taken on Thanksgiving Day 2017.  Seems impossible to see so far but this day is a beautiful clear day.  When it’s this clear up there, you can see all of Sierra Mountain Range North, snow cap and all.  I also have shots of Big Sur Coast Range, Cone Peak, Availa Point.  Bakersfield at night lit up and more.  Pretty amazing views from here, but one must be strong enough to get there to witness these views.  Most cannot and therefore the belief of seeing is not believing unless you are present, and I have been going here for the last 24 years and counting over 165 trips.  These pictures are truly special.
