I hope they can find this guy, attempted SA while in the commission of a 211 is very serious. Glad the victim only suffered a blow to the head, could have been much worse.
There is far too much crime that occurs between UCSB to Ellwood Beach within the narrow strip along the coastline. The UCSB lagoon has been a hotbed of SA and regular assaults (I believe there were at least five such events in 2025 alone). Isla Vista, well…what can one say other than it has been a dangerous community for far too long. The woods in/around the Ellwood area are filled with who knows who. LE needs to step up patrols and/or increase staffing to deal with the exponential growth of crime. Criminals believe they can get away with whatever they want to do because of the “snitches get stitches” attitude prevalent amongst IV residents and students. The time to stop crime is now…not tomorrow!
Why do you cons live in a unnecessary state of constant fear?
