UCSB Extension Plans to Open New Downtown Location

Source: UCSB Extension

Recent events have put our plans on hold, but we will be ready to go once we have the green light!

The new decade is off to the races and as the days get longer and we all begin to daydream about our plans for the spring and summer, your friends with the PaCE team have been very busy developing new courses and programs to better help you and the rest of the community to achieve whichever professional development goals you might be aspiring to.

After conducting surveys in nearly all of our classes in the Fall quarter, we gained a ton of valuable insights for a possible new course and program topics, the challenges that some students face around scheduling and the location of our professional courses.  A special thank you to every student that took the time to participate!

One common theme in feedback from many of our students in our Accounting, Human Resources, and Paralegal programs is that getting to UCSB from downtown after work can be a challenge.  Our team took that to heart and immediately began a search for a great new location to serve students coming from the downtown area.

After evaluating many sites for a potential satellite location we are thrilled to announce that beginning in Spring 2020, select courses will be held in the newly renovated Workzones office space in Paseo Nuevo shopping center.  The board rooms in the high tech office space are ideal spaces for our expert instructors to facilitate lively classroom discussions and share their expertise.  We hope to see you there!
