Two vehicles collided under foggy conditions causing multiple injuries on Highway 101 near Los Alamos on Saturday morning.
At 6:55 a.m., California Highway Patrol (CHP) and Santa Barbara County Firefighters responded to Highway 101 northbound at Palmer Road.
Crews discovered a two vehicle collision involving a white Ford pickup truck and a white GMC SUV where the SUV appeared to have rolled several times.
In the pickup truck, one male sustained minor injuries and one female sustained moderate injuries. In the SUV, the solo male driver sustained moderate injuries.
All patients were transported to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria by two ground ambulances. One ambulance was staffed with a County firefighter/paramedic.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department noted the weather at the time of the crash involved dense fog in the area.
Highway 101 remained open with the number one southbound lane temporarily closed.
The cause of the collision is under investigation by the CHP.
