Two Teenagers Arrested for Burglarizing Camarillo Charter School

On 9/13/2025, at 6:15 PM, deputies responded to University Preparation Charter School, located at 1099 N Bedford Drive in the city of Camarillo, for a call for service reference an audible alarm activation. Deputies discovered a burglary had occurred. During the investigation, deputies discovered there was forced entry into multiple classrooms through locked windows. Numerous rooms were vandalized by fire extinguishers and other items. In total, the damage of the vandalism was estimated to be approximately $3,700 dollars.

Investigators from the Camarillo Community Resources Unit and Camarillo Investigations Bureau identified two juvenile suspects through surveillance footage. On 10/8/2025, a search warrant was executed at one of the suspect’s residences in the 1800 block of Gaucho way in the city of Oxnard.  As a result, further evidence was discovered linking the two suspects to the crime. On 10/8/2025, both juvenile suspects were contacted and arrested for PC 459-Burglary, PC 594(B)(1)- Vandalism greater than $400 dollars and PC 182(a)(1)- Conspiracy to commit a crime.

At the direction of Ventura County Probation, both suspects were cited and released to their parents. This case will be forwarded to the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office and Ventura County Probation for further review and handling.
