Two Suspects Arrested for Burglarizing Discount Cigarettes Store

Summary :

On 12/21/2023 at approx. 01:21 am, the owner of Discount Cigarettes contacted the LPD to report he was viewing live surveillance of his store and could see 3 subjects trying to gain access through the front door.

As officers responded, the subjects made entry and were putting items in bags. When officers arrived on scene, a vehicle that was backed up to the front door took off from the business. It was pursued out of Lompoc and the pursuit was terminated a minute later due to public safety. The suspect vehicle left a trail of stolen merchandise along the pursuit path.

When the vehicle fled, it left behind two suspects who fled in separate directions but were apprehended. Burglary tools fell out of the suspect vehicle and there were tools recovered from the suspects.

Merchandise recovered totaled over $20,000 with another $10,000-$15,000 still outstanding.

The suspects are out of Los Angeles and were booked at the LPD Jail.
