Two people sustained injuries following a vehicle collision in Santa Ynez on Sunday.
At 5:22 a.m., Santa Barbara County Firefighters, California Highway Patrol, and a ground ambulance responded to the intersection of N. Refugio Road and Samantha Drive.
Crews found a four-door sedan and grey SUV had collided. There was one occupant in each vehicle, both had self extricated prior to emergency responder arrival.
Both motorists sustained moderate injuries and were transported to Santa Ynez Cottage Hospital by a ground ambulance.
The roadway was closed for a period of time and is now reopen.
The cause of the collision is under investigation by CHP.
