Two Injured in Highway 101 Vehicle Rollover

A single rollover vehicle accident caused two injuries and slowed traffic on Highway 101 northbound Tuesday morning.

At 8:10 a.m., Santa Barbara County Firefighters and California Highway Patrol responded to the area near Vista Point. Crews discovered a Toyota sedan with two people inside, both required extrication. One person sustained major injuries and the other sustained moderate injuries. Both patients were transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in two ground ambulances.

The collision blocked the number one lane of Highway 101 northbound, north of the Arroyo Hondo Bridge. The lane was temporarily closed while CHP cleared the roadway of debris.
