Two Homicide Investigations in Lompoc

On Sunday 10/17/2021 at 11:50am, Lompoc Police responded to the 500 block of North M Street in regards to a shooting. Officers arrived and located a 27-year-old male with gunshot injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

At 2:11pm, Detectives and Officers were finishing up the crime scene investigation on M Street when gunshots could be heard a short distance away. Officers responded and located two victims in the 300 block of West Maple Avenue. One victim, a 20-year-old male, was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. The second victim, a 31-year-old male, was also transported to a local hospital for a non-life threatening gunshot wound. He was treated and later released.

The names of the victims are are being withheld pending notification to family.

  1. “When you release felons”……???? What is this to mean? Some questions: How do you know who the felons are without a trial? Do you know if the shooters in these cases have been adjudicated to be felons? Do you think that felons should remain permanently incarcerated at something like $81K of taxpayer money a year? Or do you just enjoy being pretty inane?
