Two Fatalities After Vehicle, Semi-Truck Collide in Guadalupe

The two men who died in a vehicle le accident involving a semi-truck in Guadalupe on Monday have been identified.

The deceased have been identified as Santa Maria residents, 22-year-old Juventino Olivera-Pastor and 21-year-old Edwin Sanchez-Salazar.

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department is reporting an accident where a vehicle collided with a semi-truck at Brown Road and Highway 1 south of Guadalupe. There are two fatalities reported.

The incident occurred around 7:00 p.m. on Monday where a sedan collided with the back of semi-truck leaving occupants partially trapped. Santa Barbara County Fire Captain Dave Zaniboni reports the two occupants were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was uninjured.
