Truck and Trailer Fire in Santa Maria

Firefighters knocked down a travel trailer fire in Santa Maria on Wednesday afternoon.

At 12:06 p.m., Santa Barbara County and Santa Maria City fire crews responded to the 200 block of Prescott Lane in Santa Maria. They found a large travel trailer on fire that was connected to a pickup truck.

Crews began an aggressive attack of the trailer and surrounding trees and vegetation that also caught fire. It was knocked down within 5-10 minutes.

There was one occupant of the trailer but they were uninjured.

The cause is under investigation.
