There is a huge difference between being/not being compassionate or judging others on <anything> and making a purely personal comment. If you can't differentiate between the two, you are putting YOUR words in someone else's mouth.

Wow, why is everyone visualizing a foolish old lady up on a ladder? There is NO indication of age in the report. Accidents can happen at any age. Have some compassion! You could be next!

Seems it times for the lady to downsize?

And move into a condo, apartment, trailer park, etc where there are no chores
like trenching.

and more easily, hire a cob web cleaning service. i doubt she cleans her chimney.

and get rid of ladders. use a dusting pole.

or ask a neighbor to do such chores.

or call on relatives?

and join a club that helps its members.

Or hire a management company to figure out repairs.

Assumption much? Article on Noozhawk reports that this person was 31 years old. Hate to be the contractor who dug the trench for this sewer line work

Man, sometimes accidents just happen. Stop being so cruel. You know nothing about this woman. This reminds me of the time we had a pile on of about 25 negative trolling comments about the woman who needed to be rescued while on one of our trails because I think she fainted or something like that.

A little judgmental are we? Tagdes said she fell into an UNCOVERED trench. That's the problem, not her age or ability

When one has been very active physically and maintained one's own home, it's hard to get your head around becoming less agile and strong and having to hire out no-brainers you one once did easily. It's a double hit: Age stealing your physical prowess, and paying with dollars you saved then they were worth many times more. What you earned in a day is often less than the price for minimumly skilled labor on jobs you used to be able to perform better and not ruin anything else in the process.

I can only imagine her frustration at her accident! Get well soon -- and hire an agile assistant.

She was cleaning cob webs on her house and fell into the uncovered trench.
