Tree Trimming Truck Crashes into Tree

One man suffered minor injuries after his tree-trimming truck crashed into a tree in Goleta on Tuesday afternoon.

At 4:55 p.m., Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to N. San Marcos at Via Parva in Goleta for a vehicle accident. They found the white truck that appeared to have lost control on N. San Marcos Road and struck a power pole, then veered off into a tree, said Fire Captain Dave Zaniboni.

The male driver, estimated to be in his mid 20’s, was trapped and needed extrication. After being removed from the vehicle, the driver was transported to Cottage Hospital via ground ambulance.

The California Highway Patrol and Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of this collision.
