Trash Pick-Up Impacted by Thomas Fire

Source: County of Santa Barbara

Due to conditions related to the Thomas Fire, only trash will be collected on the normal day of service for residents for the week of December 11 – 15. Green waste and recyclables will not be collected. This is relevant for the cities of Goleta and Santa Barbara and the South Coast unincorporated area communities of Montecito, Mission Canyon, eastern Goleta Valley, and Isla Vista. Residents may store extra recylcables in a bag for future collection.

All commercial solid waste service will continue as normally scheduled. The County’s South Coast Recycling & Transfer Station is scheduled to be closed until December 15 due to air quality concerns. MarBorg Industries will be accepting waste at its enclosed Transfer Station on 119 N. Quarantina Street for those needing to dispose of self- haul waste.

Collection services are subject to change due to air conditions and updates will be provided to the public as soon as possible. For questions, please contact MarBorg Industries at (805)963-
1852 or the County at (805)882-3600 beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, December 11.
