UPDATE:
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department states there were three patients involved in this collision.
One with major injuries was flown by air ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, one with moderate injuries was transported by ground ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and one patient was evaluated on scene and released.
Highway 154 was reduced to one lane eastbound in the area for a period of time.
The cause remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
Santa Barbara County Fire Department units are responding to a traffic collision on Highway 154 near Armour Ranch Road in the Santa Ynez area.
The incident was reported at 12:24 p.m. on Thursday, June 11. Crews are currently on scene assessing the situation.
Authorities are asking motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes for everyone’s safety.
