A tourist was reportedly injured after being run over by his own vehicle in Santa Ynez on Wednesday.

At 10:27 a.m. California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers responded to the Mobil gas station at Highway 246 and Edison Street near the Chumash Casino for a report of a vehicle vs pedestrian and discovered a man who was seriously injured.

Apparently the man, a 44-year-old from Texas, parked his Ford pickup truck with a camper shell near the carwash and when he got out realized the parking brake was not engaged and began to roll. The man tried to stop the truck but was runover, according to KEYT News.

He was transported to the hospital.

  1. Tesla cars lock themselves in PARK as soon as you open the front door. So that would NOT happen with a Tesla.
BUT : had it happened with a Tesla the title would have been : “Tesla runs over owner” .
So why not the “famous F150 ” here ?
