Colman Domingo, celebrated for his impactful roles across theater, film, and television, is set to be honored with the Montecito Award on February 14, exemplifying his acting prowess with a standout performance in Greg Kwedar’s film “SING SING.” Domingo’s role in “SING SING” earned acclaim for its depth and authenticity, further highlighted by his recent victory at the Gotham Awards for Outstanding Lead Performance.
His remarkable career spans notable works, including an Oscar-nominated role as Bayard Rustin in “Rustin,” an Emmy-winning performance in HBO’s “Euphoria,” and significant parts in acclaimed projects like “The Color Purple” and “Zola.” Domingo’s portfolio continues to expand with involvement in various productions such as “It’s What’s Inside,” executive production roles, and his return to the screen in the upcoming “Michael” as Joe Jackson.
