Apr 03, 2020 09:16 AMLUVADUCK - you've got to be kidding me. I have a 13 year old male and know about 20-30 other 13 year old male friends of his. They are NOT loose cannons. Please keep your sexist, weirdly outdated comments to yourself. That is just ridiculous.

Apr 03, 2020 02:01 PMLUVADUCK - it's not that I "feel that's not the case," it's NOT the case. They are good kids, do well in school, play sports, etc but are not "loose cannons" unless they're asleep, as you basically say. Do you have any teenage sons?

Apr 03, 2020 08:35 AMTeen-aged males, unless too exhausted to move, are loose cannons. It's in our hormonal wiring. That's why all those coming-of-age rituals, probably Neolithic to now. Parents just hope their boys don't self-destruct and their girls don't get pregnant before their brains are developed enough to think ahead and judge consequences. That's why we remind them, ground them and nag them!
