Thieves caught on camera stealing plants from The Daisy restaurant in downtown Santa Barbara (courtesy)

Two individuals were caught on surveillance camera at The Daisy restaurant in downtown Santa Barbara stealing plants and custom-made planters from the establishment’s unique plant ‘chandelier’ feature.

The Daisy, located at 1221 State Street, reported the theft occurring on January 18. According to the restaurant’s owners, the thieves were prepared with bolt cutters, which they used to sever the plants from the decorative ‘chandelier.’

In a post on Instagram, the restaurant expressed disheartenment at the incident and shared details of the theft in hopes of gathering information from the community.

“Sadly, we were visited by a couple of thieves last night. They even brought bolt cutters to steal a couple of plants and custom-made planters from our plant ‘chandelier’,” the statement read. It also mentioned the distinctive clothing worn by the perpetrators as a potential clue for their identification and appealed to the public for help, urging anyone who might recognize them to come forward.

The restaurant asks that anyone with information contacts them directly. The video of the suspects is provided below:
