Thief Caught on Camera Stealing Materials from Goleta School

Our roofing company had (4) rolls of Tremply Kee roofing material stolen from our jobsite totaling over $12,000. This material was within a gated area on a jobsite at a Goleta elementary school and we want to ensure you are aware of the situation.  We are hoping you might help us to find this person with the pictures and video that were taken.`

On Tuesday morning, August 22, 2023 at 4:30am there were 4 rolls of roofing material stolen where it had been securely stored along with other roofing material and equipment.

We have filed a police report regarding the theft, and we will be cooperating fully with the authorities to assist in any investigation process.  We have also provided photos and video showing the person responsible for the theft.

The roofing material is described as follows:
Tremco – Tremply Kee FB 60mil 72’ x 80’ rolls – 4 rolls in total

To assist in the recovery efforts, we have attached photographs of the person for your reference.

We are asking if you are familiar with this individual to please provide that information to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Dispatch at their non-emergency number (805) 683-2724 or you may call our office at and give any information that we can provide to the police.

  1. This is obviously an inside job with the company or people that worked there. There is no way any non industry would know its value, and no person outside the school project would know the materials were located on the campus. (Other than the company that they bought it from..did the subcontractor pay their bills or their employees?)
