Local hotspot The Brewhouse, reopened Friday after four months of closing down due to an electrical fire.

Brewmaster and co-owner Pete Johnson kept busy to keep the beer's brewing during the closure at 229 W. Montecito Street and they're ready to kick off the three-day weekend in style with live performances. One, Two, Tree is scheduled to perform Friday evening,  Kinsella Brothers on Saturday evening, and Stiff Pickle on Sunday afternoon.

The electrical fire started in April when a heat gun turned on in the middle of the night due to a faulty switch. Fire and smoke damaged the back bar, ceilings, and televisions. The total cost to repair all the damage was estimated to be around $350,000, reports KEYT News.

The local restaurant and brewing community chipped in by selling Brewhouse Beer, creating a donation fund, and even offering to temporarily hire employees until the re-opening.

The Brewhouse team is planning for a full holiday weekend celebration with many more events to come. For those who are wondering, yes, the weekend bottomless mimosa brunch is back.
