On Friday, June 21, temporary roadwork will begin in the morning to fix a dip that has developed on Cathedral Oaks Road west of Los Carneros Road, in the east bound traffic lane. The work will level off the area until there is a permanent solution. The road will be open to traffic, but the lanes will be reduced to one lane and flaggers will be directing traffic. Please plan your commute accordingly.

If you have any questions, please contact Marti Milan, Prinicipal Civl Engineer, at 805.961.7562 or mmilan@cityofgoleta.org

That would be much too reasonable. If/when, it will be when school's in session and over Thanksgiving. Closures will extend a mile past the area being worked on, and work hours will be just before rush hour M - F. A bottleneck will be created by parked construction equipment by evening rush hour. I remember once when all but one northbound 101 lane was closed mid-week before Thanksgiving to stockpile equipment and supplies for work that didn't began until mid-week after. IMHO, the construction company should have been heavily fined. The road rage that created may have caused accidents later.

Temporary Roadwork on Cathedral Oaks Road

I have never seen so many roads in such poor condition all over this area - city of SB, Noleta, Goleta, county. Yet SB Mayor Murillo just crowed what a well run city she helms and what a balanced budget she manages. Get out of your bubble and ride the very rough pot-holed streets virtually every where. Where did our streets maintenance budget go, Ms Murillo?

Wish they would just repave it. Cathedral oaks from Winchester to Los Carneros is falling apart. Why not just repave it while DP is currently on summer break?
