Sweet Jane, a costume, party, and women’s clothing store in Isla Vista, is set to close.
Located at 6549 Pardall Road in Isla Vista, Sweet Jane announced in a social media post that the store will be closing its doors on February 21, 2026.
Ahead of the closure, the store announced a clearance sale on all its items on stock. All items will be available at a discounted price of 50%, Sweet Jane shared.

The store is open every day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
In an another Instagram post, the store shared that the closure is a “bittersweet” moment.
“What started as a little shop became so much more – a place filled with creativity, laughter, memories, and community,” the owner wrote in the post.
The store has served customers for parties and although this chapter is about to end, the party does not end, Sweet Jane said.
The store expressed gratitude to all its customers for supporting the business over the years.

Sweet Jane did not mention if the management is planning to open the store elsewhere in the future.
The costume party and women’s clothing boutique opened in 2006 and specializes in costumes, wigs, and jewelry for parties and festival rave wear.
Sweet Jane joins a host of other long standing businesses in Santa Barbara County to close their doors.
Open Air Bicycles, the longtime bicycle store and full-service repair service center, announced it will move out of its current location. The store said it is looking for a new space as its lease at 135 E. Carrillo Street location has ended.
As part of the closure of its closure, Open Air Bicycles announced a clearance sale on all its in-stock items. Discounts range from 30% to 60% on bicycles and accessories.
This was Open Air Bicycles’ second location. The bike store initially operated on State Street before relocating to its current location.
Earlier this month, swimwear shop Zoë Bikini announced it had found a temporary home at 27 E Victoria Street, Suite B, in Santa Barbara.
Sharing that the smaller store is a “temporary landing spot,” owner Zoë said in an Instagram post that she will continue to operate from the new space until a new option is available.
Earlier, the store operated out of a State Street location but was forced to vacate the space abruptly after the building was sold, with no option to renew the lease. The store announced a clearance sale “to lighten the load” in December 2025 at the State Street store before closing it down.
