Last night around 3 am I woke up to an arrest taking place right outside my house, on the 200 block of West Islay. This was a very abnormal arrest as all of the officers were in camo and were carrying assault rifles. There were a few police officers with bullet proof black vests that said Police on the front but these officers were in plain clothes. The arrest was quite intense with a K-9 unit deployed and between 10 and 15 officers.
Not sure what happened but it was quite alarming to see officers in full camo with assault rifles right outside my front yard. Does anyone have any info regarding this arrest?
Can you describe the person or persons who were arrested? You say it was highly unusual, but if it wasn’t an attempt to arrest the next door neighbor, who were they targeting in your front yard? I know you’re just trying to get info, but this is no time to be cryptic or shy – by all means, tell us what you saw, in detail. Anytime the police get dressed up to play “army”, they are a danger not only to themselves and the so-called “subject”, they’re a danger to EVERYONE in the vicinity. The Lompoc police department locked down the high school back in April, and then a week later announced that one of its officers committed “suicide” the same day as the lockdown, but it was BEFORE that thing @ the school & didn’t have nothin’ to do with all those trigger happy cops runnin’ around lookin’ for somebody (anybody) to shoot. All these months later, and still no ‘vestigation – for all we know, nobody died, they’re just raisin’ money for a bar-b-q…
