The Santa Barbara Police Department (SBPD) announced the arrest of two suspected fentanyl dealers in separate incidents.
Earlier this month SBPD Detectives arrested Jovanny Cipres, 35-year-old Santa Barbara, for possession for Sales of fentanyl, heroin, and methamphetamine.
The total amount of drugs seized was approximately 14.3 ounces of fentanyl, 7.2 ounces of heroin, and 1 ounce of methamphetamine.
In a separate arrest on April 11, 2025, officers contacted a subject on the 200 block of Vista De La Cumbre in Santa Barbara who appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance, according to SBPD.
After further investigation, officers identified the suspect as 34-year-old Miguel Martinez who was in possession of approximately 12.7oz of fentanyl along with scales and packaging.
Additionally, officers located a loaded Glock 9mm semi-automatic handgun with a high-capacity magazine in Martinez’s possession.
