On [Monday], November 4, 2019, at about 2235 hours, Santa Maria Police Officers responded to a residence in the 900 block of W. Williams Street to a report of a shooting, with the suspect still on scene. Upon arrival, officers encountered a juvenile victim who suffered from a gunshot wound and one of his family members outside of the home.

The officers learned the victim was involved in a verbal dispute with an adult family member. Some time during the dispute, the adult family member shot the juvenile victim and then shot himself. Both individuals were transported to an area hospital where they remain in critical condition.

  1. An adult shooting a kid? OMG. In other news, a 19 year old is arrested for two separate felony robberies, threatening use of a gun. And another arrested for robbing a liquor store. That’s just one day of life in the pit….Santa Maria.
