"A domestic violence incident led to a search of chaparral and the arrest of a suspect Wednesday night near Vandenberg Village.
At 6:15 p.m., the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement personnel, including a K-9 unit, were dispatched to the 100 block of Galaxy Way for a domestic disturbance, Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Raquel Zick said.
The suspect fled the home, but was captured in the adjacent chaparral after approximately 90 minutes, Zick added.
William Bourdony, 36, of Lompoc was arrested on suspicion of felony assault with a firearm and domestic violence plus misdemeanor threats, false imprisonment dissuading a witness, and brandishing a firearm. Bourdony was booked into the Northern Branch Jail with bail set at $50,000.

Jan 07, 2023 12:08 AMNot necessarily. Bail is to get suspects to show up at court. The bond for this bail might be, to him, what 1 or more million $ would be to someone well-off -- impossible to post.
