Structure Fire in Isla Vista Apartment

Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to a structure fire in an Isla Vistan apartment Friday night.
At 6:14 p.m., crews responded to the Balboa Apartments in the 6700 block of El Colegio for a reported fire. Three engines, one truck, one Battalion Chief, and one ambulance responded to discover a working kitchen fire.
The fire was knocked down with an aggressive interior attack and coordinated ventilation.
There were no injuries.
