Structure Fire at San Marcos Trout Club

Update by edhat staff

Santa Barbara County firefighters knocked down an early morning structure fire in the Trout Club area off Highway 154.

At 12:21 a.m., crews responded to the area above Goleta off Valley View Road with three engines, a battalion chief, and one engine from Santa Barbara City Fire Department. Upon arrival crews found a three-level home with heavy smoke coming from the bottom level with all occupants out of the structure.

Firefighters pulled lines and began an interior attack that knocked down the fire. They stayed through the night performing overhaul and salvage of the structure.

There were no injuries and an investigator will determine the cause of the fire.
