Stephen Lynn Day

Stephen Lynn Day of Goleta, California, age 61, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Serenity House in Santa Barbara, of complications from cancer. He was born January 10, 1956 in Greenville, South Carolina to George Franklin (Jr.) and Marjorie Marie LuElla (Woodward) Day. He graduated from Dos Pueblos High School in Santa Barbara, and received an A.S. degree in Computer Information Systems from Santa Barbara City College, where he served as President of the Disabled Students Club. In 1994, he was hired by Tri-Counties Regional Center as their first ever Consumer Advocate, helping other Tri-Counties residents with disabilities to find and utilize available services and opportunities for independent living, a cause near and dear to his heart.
