    • VOICE – so what? It’s a private company. If they want to be “selective” and pick on you and your buddies because of the things you say, so what? They can choose what to remove without owing you any explanation. You think my comments would remain up on Parler? Gads man, quit the incessant crying!

    • @Voice – if ed followed the comment policies to a “T” there wouldn’t be any comments left. They’re lenient on some things but I’ve noticed more strict on immature insults between commenters, overt misinformation, and racist/sexist/homophobic/xenophobic sentiments. Turns out, a lot of the later comes from our conservative commenters.

    • VOICE at 11:05 – with the amount you complain about the TOS being unfair, it’s surprising you’re still here, every day, all day. The deleted comment violated the following:
      4. No discussion of National politics – this board is for local issues only.
      11. Off-topic comments will be deleted. Please keep the conversation focused on the issued discussed in the article.

I get deleted all the time. It’s not one-sided, no matter how bad you want it to be.

    • Okay I’ll bite, how are drug cartels that murder people in their locale and abroad, traffic humans sexually and otherwise, smuggle arms, and traffic deadly poison into our country NOT terrorists? What is the a difference between a bomb and a deadly poison? From anthrax and fentanyl? What makes a group in Yemen plotting to kill Americans different than the cartel, who aren’t just plotting but actually and actively killing Americans? What is the difference other than their nationality? Speaking changing definitions of the words, that a rather common and unfortunate tactic these days but we’ll save that for another time….

    • VOICE – Wow, you’re brilliant! You’re right, it’s SO EASY! A real no brainer, right? Lol……

You see, drug dealing and sex trafficking is done for the purpose of the criminal making money. It’s a “business,” not an ideological, political, religious, etc statement/attack or intimidation. You don’t get to just call every criminal a terrorist. Words and definitions matter.
You’re so much smarter than everyone, you should run for Grand Leader!

    • You’re literally defending drug cartels that kill innocent people domestically and abroad, sex traffic young children, murder the family’s of politicians in their country who dare stand up to them, and smuggle deadly poison into the United States causing the deaths of tens of thousand of people all to prove me wrong. But they aren’t terrorist because they do it for…. greed, however, if they did for an ideological ideal (other than greed) they would be terrorists. Wow. Just wow. Keep it coming.

    • The “orange nazi” floated designating the cartels terrorist organizations (which they are) so we could drone strike their compounds and drug labs. But of course like everything he tried to do it was vehemently opposed by the left, not because it’s right or wrong or it would work or not work, simply because if Trump is for it, the left is against it. Crazy we have no problem (well I have a problem) drone striking and sending in special forces halfway around the world to kill people who could potentially attack and kill US citizens yet do have a problem doing it to the cartels south of the boarder actively killing US citizens and trafficking sex slaves (and minor sex slaves!!) through our borders. And of course there was the few billion for the wall that was so strenuously fought (but nearly $100billion for Ukraine…) but you’re totally right GT, he didn’t do try to do anything…..

    • ” simply because if Trump is for it, the left is against it.” – Not true at all. Half the things he proposed were illegal under federal and/or international law, such as summarily executing criminals in foreign countries. Drug dealers are not terrorists, they’re horrible criminals, but cannot be designated as terrorists unless you change the definition of the word, which would then allow us to assassinate criminals in other countries and thereby denying them due process of law.
The fact that you truly think this idea was opposed just because of who he was shows you have no concept of our laws. Great books out there to read if you truly want to learn.

  1. Jimmy Carter started the emptying out of our psychiatric institutions.
Reagan had just become Pres.,I was working at Camarillo state hospital right after Reagan was elected and we were told to finish up the contract we had because they were going to close it and put those people in “halfway houses” with funding for 5 yrs. or something like that.
Look what a shit idea that was.
Now the property is UCCI where we used to house those folks.
Of course the population has tripled since then.

  2. Border Patrol sees increase in fentanyl trafficking
Aug 30, 2022( NewsNation) — New drug seizures along the U.S.-Mexico border include fentanyl and opioids that are up to 100 times more powerful than morphine. More than 3.5 million fentanyl pills were seized in Arizona alone in just August. That is enough fentanyl to kill nearly every single person living in the state of Connecticut

    • MEBK – yes, very aware of the problem with fentanyl coming across the border. Definitely needs to be stopped! I think you might have the wrong impression of me due to VOICE’s outright lies based on preschool level logic and my objection to DOULIE and COASTWATCH saying Biden has “refused to address” the crisis, which is a lie.

  3. General Tree: You’re absolutely right about Regan’s de-funding of Mental Health Treatment. Our country’s mental health system has never recovered from that. Which is of course, one of many causes of the problem that we’re seeing now. But, you’re absolutely wrong about which political party’s recent leadership has been better about dealing with the influx of undocumented immigrants, and all of the things that they bring with them across our porous southern border, i.e. the Biden administration is utterly bereft of action or plan to secure our country’s borders. If you think otherwise, you’re not paying attention.
