SR-192 Resurfacing Project Continues Next Week

Source: Caltrans

A project to resurface a five-mile segment of State Route 192 from ½ mile east of Alamar Avenue in Santa Barbara to Cold Springs Road in Montecito will continue the week of Monday, Jan. 8.

Motorists will encounter one-way reversing traffic control with a pilot vehicle on State Route 192 from Mission Canyon Road to Cold Spring Road from 8:30 am until 4 pm.

This additional roadwork will include a grinding of the roadway to ensure a smooth ride for everyone.

Electronic message boards will be activated to inform motorists of this roadwork. Motorists will encounter delays not to exceed 15 minutes.

The contractor for this $1.8 million project is C.A. Rasmussen Inc. of Valencia, CA.  This project is scheduled to be complete in early 2018.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.
