SR-192 Resurfacing Project Continues For Surface Grinding

Source: Caltrans

A project to resurface a five-mile segment of State Route 192 from ½ mile east of Alamar Avenue in Santa Barbara to Cold Springs Road in Montecito will continue this week.

Motorists will encounter one-way reversing traffic control with a pilot vehicle on State Route 192 from Mission Canyon Road to Cold Spring Road from Tuesday, Jan. 30 through Friday, Feb. 2 from 7:30 am until 4 pm.

This additional roadwork will include a grinding of the roadway to ensure a smooth ride for everyone.

Electronic message boards will be activated to inform motorists of this roadwork. Motorists will encounter delays not to exceed 15 minutes.

The contractor for this $1.8 million project is C.A. Rasmussen Inc. of Valencia, CA.  This project is scheduled to be complete this month, weather permitting.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.
