SR-192 and 144 Resurfacing Begins Thursday

A project to resurface State Route 192 in both directions from Linden Avenue to State Route 150 near Carpinteria will begin on Thursday, July 15.

Motorists will encounter one-way reversing traffic control Sunday night through Friday morning during the overnight hours from 11:55 pm to 6 am.

Roadwork will also take place Monday night through Friday morning from 8 pm until 11:55 pm.

Construction will also take place during the daytime hours Monday through Thursday from 9 am and 4 pm and from 9 am until 1 pm on Fridays.  Delays should not exceed five minutes.

The contractor for this $1.7 million project is CalPortland Construction of Santa Maria, CA.  This project is expected to be complete next month.


STATE ROUTE 144 (SYCAMORE CANYON ROAD) RESURFACING PROJECT BEGINS TOMORROW

A project to resurface State Route 144 (Sycamore Canyon Road) in both directions from Alameda Padre Serra to State Route 192 will begin on Thursday, July 15.

Motorists will encounter one-way reversing traffic control Monday through Thursday from 9 am until 4 pm and Fridays from 9 am until 3 pm.  Delays are not expected to exceed five minutes.

The contractor for this $557,000 project is CalPortland Construction of Santa Maria, CA.  This project is expected to be complete next month.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway work zones.
