Spanish Citizens Academy

The Santa Barbara Police Department would like to invite members of the community, over the age of 18, to participate in the upcoming “Spanish Citizens Academy.”  Learn how the different branches within the Santa Barbara Police Department operate, and how you can get involved with your community.

This is an 8 week program where you will:

  • Meet the Chief of the Police Lori Luhnow
  • Meet patrol officers,  narcotics , gang unit, K-9 and 911 Dispatchers.
  • You will have the opportunity to patrol with the officers and tour the police department
  • You will learn about the responsibilities Santa Barbara Police Department has with the community and how you can take part also by contributing within your community.

This free event is a Spanish speaking only versión of our Citizen’s Academy, and will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Franklin Community Center, which is located at 1136 E Montecito St. Santa Barbara, CA. 93103.
