SpaceX successfully launched its Falcon 9 rocket from Lompoc on Sunday, December 7, and has plans for two more launches this week.
At 9:58 a.m. PT, Falcon 9 launched 28 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) from Vandenberg Space Force Base.
This was the 12th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched NROL-126, Transporter-12, SPHEREx, NROL-57, and now eight Starlink missions. Following stage separation, the first stage landed on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship, which was stationed in the Pacific Ocean.
Residents of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties heard several sonic booms associated with the launch.
SpaceX is planning two more launches from Vandenberg SFB scheduled for this week.
On Wednesday, December 10, SpaceX is planning for another Starlink support launch between 12:54 a.m. and 4:54 a.m. A similar launch is scheduled for Friday, December 12 between 9:34 p.m. and 1:34 a.m. on Saturday, December 13.
