SpaceX launched 25 Starlink internet satellites to low-Earth orbit at 9:29 p.m. PT on Tuesday, April 14, from Space Launch Complex 4 East, marking Vandenberg’s 25th launch of 2026.
The Falcon 9’s first stage completed its 21st flight on this mission. The booster has now supported USSF-62, OneWeb Launch 20, NROL-145, and 18 Starlink missions. Following stage separation, the booster landed on the droneship “Of Course I Still Love You,” stationed in the Pacific Ocean.
Residents in Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties may have heard one or more sonic booms associated with the launch and recovery, though what was heard varied with weather and other conditions.
Guardians and Airmen at Vandenberg Space Force Base supported the launch, designated Starlink 17-27.
