Dec 13, 2022 09:51 AM@JAK - That photo could have been sometime in the 70's or 80's when winter snow would be on the mountains from Goleta all the way down to Carpinteria. Not so much from the 90's to the present. Climate change I would presume.

I seem to remember a photo from loooong ago that must have been taken by a surfer. It showed other surfers in the foreground with Stearns wharf off to one side and La Cumbre peak and surrounding peaks covered in snow and the Riviera in the middle. Wish I could remember when and where I saw it. Nothing said “Santa Barbara” quite as well as that.
