Student Neighborhood Assistance Program (SNAP) officers are working to address noise, overcrowding, and parking issues in the Mesa neighborhood near Santa Barbara City College. The peer-to-peer program focuses on educating offenders before a citation is warranted.

This should not be peer to peer. These are civil codes that are being broken and should be enforced by people who can handle the issues at the time of incident. There are plenty of dui deaths on the mesa and i would guess those cars did not leave a quiet dinner with friends that had an extra spot in their drive way. Officers enforcing noise rules can lead to drug enforcement and prevention of other activity we dont need in our community while these kids rumspringa.

I agree too. Write them tickets, they need to know what happens to adults when they break the rules. They aren’t children anymore stop treating them like they are.
