Weather conditions are pushing wildfire smoke into the South Coast impacting the air quality.
There are no active fires within the local area.
The National Weather Service provides Geocolor Satellite imagery that shows the current status of wildfire smoke with a thick plume flowing over Santa Barbara County and the South Coast.
The Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District (APCD) reports a yellow/moderate air quality forecast for this weekend due to wildfire smoke.
“While the smoke is responsible for causing hazy visual conditions, it is expected to remain high aloft & not create significant ground-level impacts,” the APCD states.

This morning there was a yellowish/orange tinge in the air, similar to when we’ve had smoke. Is the air quality bad today with smoke from any of the fires? It looks like it outside. If the air is smoky, which fire is causing it and why haven’t they issued an air quality warning?
