Firefighters extinguished a small kitchen fire inside the Angel and Oak Restaurant at the Bacara Resort on Monday afternoon.
At 3:38 p.m., the Santa Barbara County Fire Department sent a full structure response with ambulances to the 8300 block of Hollister Ave. Crews on scene discovered a smoldering fire in the wall behind the stove area in the kitchen of the restaurant.
Crews opened the wall and quickly extinguished the small fire. There were no injuries and the cause is under investigation.
The restaurant will be closed until the Health Department approves it to reopen.

Firefighters are responding to a call for a possible structure fire near the rear of the Bacara Resort in the 8300 Block of Hollister.
I hope SB CoFD does a full Fire Safety Inspection of the entire facility….
