Is Cox internet slow in your area? Ours around Hollister and Walnut is slower on download than a dialup.

Feb 11, 2021 08:57 AMDialup. I remember that. I had it during the nineties. I was living in a rural area in a developing nation at the time.

Feb 11, 2021 08:52 AMI would call Cox first.
Then ask a neighbor who has Cox Internet too.
Probably is movies or zoom at work?
Else do some PC cleanup. Try uninstalling the AV. Or see what else running on system.
And Defrag disk after running ccleaner?

Feb 11, 2021 10:11 AMMy son turned me onto an all called DownDetector. It shows which streaming platforms are having issues as well as cable co’s.
Yesterday I had a few hours of weirdness and on Saturday had no internet for nearly the entire day. The app showed me it wasn’t just my service. I had company. So sick & tired of Cox’s monopoly on SB.

Feb 11, 2021 10:23 AMYes, Cox is always a problem. I recently upgraded my router, but didn't get any improvement, and finally they sent me a new modem (probably for being a pain in their rear) because they realize that our area (Noleta) is impacted and due for .... I can't remember what they call it, but a new "bud" or something that's like creating a new lane for more traffic. Things were better for a while, but the past day or several have been bad again. I think they're going to open this new lane this month or next. Let's cross our fingers!
