SLO Delicious Bake Shop has announced it will close permanently, with its final day of operation on November 26, 2025. Owners Michael and Chef Gonzalo shared the news in an Instagram post.

The bakery, located in the Garden Street district of downtown San Luis Obispo, did not provide a reason for the closure.

In their message, the owners thanked the community, saying, “We are so beyond grateful to have shared these years with a community that has embraced us and we’ll greatly miss you! We want to thank our friends, family, customers, and employees for seeing us through this experience.”

They further added, “Our last day will be 11/26, so please stop by and say goodbye.”

The closure prompted responses from the community, with Downtown SLO commenting, “How lucky we are to have had you in our downtown community! We’re going to miss popping in for a sweet treat during the week. Best of luck in your new adventures!”

SLO Delicious

SLO Delicious was founded five years ago by friends Mike and Chef G, who opened their first business together during the pandemic. They faced significant delays from supply-chain issues and rising costs, but moved forward with the goal of creating a welcoming neighborhood bakery, they wrote in the post.

According to the owners, their aim was to to offer a space where customers could stop in for celebration cakes, workplace pastries, daily lunch items, or a friendly connection. From the beginning, the bakery received support from nearby residents and businesses.

SLO Delicious was designed as a boutique bakeshop featuring breakfast and lunch options, including frittatas, croissant sandwiches, a sandwich bar, salads, and a rotating selection of fresh-baked pastries. Besides, the bakery also served handmade chocolate truffles, birthday cakes, wedding cakes, and other celebratory creations.

SLO Delicious is also a member of the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce.

According to The Tribune, San Luis Obispo has witnessed another restaurant closure this month, with the closing of Burger Village. The San Luis Obispo location of Burger Village is not visible on the restaurant’s website. The closure of the restaurant has come after six years of operation.
