Silo and Spider Man Top Streaming Charts

By JaneTV

Fantasy and apocalyptic dystopias are topping the streaming charts this week.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is a 2018 computer animated film that was recently released for free to watch on FuboTV, so it’s climbed to the charts. I assume now that summer is out kids and parents are playing it on repeat?

Number two on the list is the AppleTV+ dystopian series Silo. It’s based on post-apocalyptic science fiction “Silo Series” by author Hugh Howey and follows a few main characters that live in a giant underground silo housing an extremely large community. Rashida Jones, Tim Robbins, Common, and David Oyelowo are some of the big names that star in the series.

Paramount+ streaming network has scored another win with Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. The fantasy/adventure film was released this year and is adapted from the popular tabletop role-playing game. Starring Chris Pine, an unlikely group sets off on an epic quest to retrieve a long lost relic.

What I’m Watching: FUBAR. It has the classic elements of everything we loved about Arnold Schwartzeneger from the 90s: fast paced, unimaginable plots where someone is always an undercover agent, and silly humor. Now more modernized, this Netflix series is reminding me of “Kindergarten Cop” and I’m all about it.
